Tangram's Response to COVID-19

Due to the fact that Tangram serves an aging, medically fragile population, it is critical that our employees take every precaution to limit exposure to COVID-19. Tangram is focused on protecting the health and safety of both our clients AND our employees. We have assembled an internal team dedicated to tracking the spread and impact of COVID-19 and ensuring Tangram’s preparedness and response to this new disease. Here are some of the steps we are taking:

  • Providing ample disinfectant, cleaning supplies, and personal protective equipment at client sites and office locations
  • Implementing quarantine procedures for clients and staff, as necessary
  • Training staff on the best ways to limit exposure to COVID-19
  • Providing up-to-date information and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control to employees
  • Increasing flexibility in our employee attendance policy to make it possible for employees with virus exposure or symptoms to stay home without penalty (see below for more information)
  • Maintaining open dialogue with local partners and health experts

Tangram Group Activities

As a precaution, Tangram will be suspending all group activities for clients, effective immediately, until more is known about the COVID-19 outbreak. This includes activities such as , Music Club, Book Club, Game Night, etc. If you have questions about this, please contact one of the Support Team members (CEO, Vice Presidents, Directors).


Employee Attendance Policy

Effective immediately and until further notice, Tangram will suspend the Attendance Policy for anyone with symptoms of or a diagnosis of COVID-19 (or those taking care of immediate family members with symptoms or a diagnosis of COVID-19). This means that no points will be given for absences related to COVID-19. If you suspect that you have COVID-19, you must contact Human Resources, your supervisor, and the Indiana State Department of Health, which is tracking COVID-19 cases and exposure. There will be a mandatory quarantine period of 14 days if you have been exposed to the disease or have symptoms of the disease.

Admin Operations

Administrative employees are encouraged to take their laptops home every evening in the event that the office closes due to COVID-19. Tangram’s admin employees should all have remote work capabilities.

Tangram’s Disaster Preparedness Plan

Tangram will be following our Department of Health-approved Disaster Preparedness Plan (HS102) to help us navigate any COVID-19-related issues. All employees can access the Disaster Preparedness Plan on MyHub on the Policies and Procedures tab and then in the Health and Safety Section. All employees are encouraged to read this plan


Employee Travel

Effective immediately and until further notice, any employee who travels outside the country may be subject to a required 14-day quarantine upon re-entry into the U.S. You are responsible for notifying Human Resources immediately upon your return from a foreign country and they will provide guidance on next stepsPlease do not stop by the main office to check in with HR.
